Having played the guitar and several other stringed instruments for the past 30 years, I've learned the hard way how crucial a proper instrument set up can be. I've experienced expensive guitars that didn't sound that great and relatively inexpensive guitars that sounded wonderful. The difference often boils down to whether the guitar has been set up and maintained properly.
After several of these experiences, I began researching and discussing techniques with fellow players and luthiers. Eventually, I began to focus more on repairing and maintaining my personal guitars and those belonging to family, friends, etc., ...and BFG Worx was born.
So, whether you own a Fender Custom Shop guitar or a lesser-known brand, a quality set up can significantly enhance your playing experience.

Complete Electric Set Up
Electric Guitar Hardtail Set Up (Floyd Rose style tremolo +$15)
- Initial instrument inspection
- Clean and polish frets
- Clean and oil the fretboard
- Measure neck relief and adjust truss rod (as needed)
- Measure and adjust string action
- Check and adjust the bridge (as needed)
- Check nut slots (file as needed)
- Adjust pick-up height (as needed)
- Tighten and clean jack sockets
- General electronics cleaning
- Check and tighten all screws, strap buttons, etc.
- Clean and polish

Partial Electric Set Up

- Acoustic Saddle Replacement - $55-$85 plus material cost (hand-carved tusk, bone, nu-bone)
- Acoustic Saddle Replacement - $35-$50 plus factory or general replacement saddle

Guitar Nut Replacement
- Nut Replacement - $55-$85 plus material cost (Bone, Tusq Graphite, or XL nut material extra)

From general fret maintenance to full re-fretting
